Effective governance is the starting point for effective decisions. The CityScope team has wide experience in governance, including public and private sector directorships. We have a particular professional interest in governance in the public and community sectors, including an understanding of statutory requirements, and in the relationship between governance structures and effective decision-making. Our expertise has been developed through research and analysis, facilitation and coaching, performance review, and organisational design. We can assist clients to investigate and resolve governance issues, clarify roles and responsibilities, address issues of transparency and accountability, and review and advise on appropriate structures for resource deployment, procedures, and effectiveness within and between organisations. Work for a diverse range of organisations adds to our understanding of the far-reaching impact of governance issues. Clients include the Royal Commission into Auckland’s Governance, Wellington City Council, Rodney District Council, Auckland Regional Council, Auckland City Council, Massey University and the New Zealand Transport Agency.
